Property Department

The residential and commercial property department aims to provide a speedy and efficient service for both private and business clients.

The partner heading up the department is Helen Atkinson a solicitor with 26 years experience in this field. She joined Atkinson & Firth in 1990 as an assistant solicitor and soon became a partner.

Helen leads a team of solicitors and legal executives/paralegals who between them handle 2000 property transactions per year and specialises in providing a streamlined service from the initial estimate to completion and registration.

Helen has experience of dealing with a variety of commercial transactions from the sale of modest businesses through to multi-million pound development sites.

Our property team is dedicated to making your house move or re-mortgage as painless as possible. We recognise how stressful moving can be and work together as a team to pass on information to our clients about their transaction. We work together with estate agents, surveyors and lenders to streamline the process as much a possible.

Our approachable style makes us the right choice for clients who would prefer to engage a local firm offering a tailored service for individual requirements rather than a large city centre practice which can sometimes appear to be out of touch with its individual clients.
